In fact, we have a selection of Elevate your look with our premium gold rings! styles that are similar to the ones worn by celebrities and royalty! One of our favourites is the Lovetta trilogy ring which features a round centre gemstone flanked by two baguette cut side stones. This style has been seen on the hands of a number of celebrities and is a popular choice for an engagement ring, as it’s both modern and classic in design.

Similarly, the Cartier Panthere de la Mer ring is another celebrity favourite. This ring is a gorgeous example of how to combine contemporary and classic elements for a truly unique ring that can be worn with any outfit. The stunning black tiger’s eye centre stone sits beautifully within the gold frame, creating a stunning ring that’s sure to get compliments.

The Royal Family have a long tradition of wearing Welsh gold, which is known for its rich and deep red colour. Kate Middleton’s stunning ‘engagement’ ring is made from Welsh gold, as was her wedding band, and it’s not hard to see why it looks so beautiful!

White gold is created by mixing pure gold with harder metal alloys usually nickel, palladium, and silver to create a durable metal suitable for jewellery. This is achieved by using a lower karat rate than pure gold, with 18 karat gold being 75% gold and 25% other metals. The remaining 25% of the mixture is then plated with rhodium to give it its much sought-after light grey colour.

Platinum is even more durable than gold, being almost 20% more dense. This means that a platinum ring is usually heavier in weight, which some people find to be more comfortable on their fingers.

Both platinum and gold have their advantages depending on the person’s personal preferences, the design of their ring, and their lifestyle/care plan for the ring. For example, if someone is very active and likely to come into contact with other objects daily, then a ring made from white gold might not last as long as a platinum ring due to the natural wear and tear.

However, if someone has very sensitive skin or is worried about an allergic reaction to certain precious metals, then platinum may be a better option. This is because white gold can contain nickel, which some people can be allergic to. In contrast, platinum is pure and hypoallergenic, which means it’s unlikely to cause an allergy or sensitivity in most people.
